Teaching Investing Principles to Make School students
4/26/21- Extra Credit Financial Solutions LLC had the opportunity to virtually teach the students of Make School (San Francisco, CA). During the class, the student learned a myriad of topics:
1. The fundamentals of investing and retirement,
2. The differences between stocks and bonds,
3. The differences between mutual funds and exchange- traded funds (ETFs),
4. The importance of diversification,
5. The various types of retirement instruments (401(k), IRAs, etc.),
6. The power of taxation on one’s retirement.
Awesome engagement w/ a very interactive, inquisitive students (our future leaders).
Ms. Carmen Ye, Director of People, Culture, and Justice, Equity Diversity, and Inclusion, shared, “ECFS was extremely prepared and spent considerable time with me before the actual presentation to do a dry run to ensure the presentations’ information was in line with pre-discussed expectations. Additionally, ECFS also employed a variety of teaching techniques (i.e., lecture, polls, open-end questions, etc.) to draw our students in.
I truly feel that Extra Credit Financial Solutions LLC went above and beyond to deliver a stellar product. Make School students thoroughly enjoyed ECFS’ inclusion in the curriculum.”
Thank you Ms. Ye, the staff, faculty & participants for the opportunity to teach and we hope to return the following year. Great time!
